Dynamic Settlement Group FAQ
1. How much could I possibly receive?
Payout will be different in each matter. Payout is driven by 3 different factors:
- Size of the settlement fund.
- Number of companies filing valid claims for that settlement.
- Amount of eligible purchases made by your company during the settlement period.
Claim values cannot be predicted until all claims have been filed in the matter.
2. Do I need to file a claim with DSG?
No, you do not need to hire DSG to file a claim or obtain a recovery. You can prepare and file your own settlement claim. DSG clients find value in DSG services and DSG helps specifically with:
- Claims filing.
- Data modeling to maximize claim size.
- Monitoring case developments and providing regular updates.
- Working with the Claims Administrator to handle any questions that arise.
3. When can we expect payment?
Class action administration can be a lengthy process and varies greatly with each matter. Depending on the complexity of the payout and volume of claims filed, it can be months to more than one year after the claims filing deadline for payments to be disbursed.
4. How much documentation is required?
DSG will work with the data you have available. Examples of documentation shared with DSG are spreadsheets, invoices, and purchasing reports.
5. Is my claim confidential?
Yes, the process and information regarding your claim are confidential. Once defendants have paid money into the settlement fund, they do not monitor claimant activity or have information on which companies or individuals have filed claims.
6. What if my claim is rejected by the Claims Administrator?
DSG will work closely with the Claims Administrator to address any deficiencies or objections raised by the Claims Administrator. If your claim is ultimately rejected, then no refund will be received. DSG works on a contingency basis, so if you don’t receive a refund, DSG is not compensated.
7. I received a legal notice in the mail. Did this come from DSG?
If you received a notice, it may have come directly from the Claims Administrator as an agent of the court. DSG is neither the claims administrator nor class counsel. You can go directly to the settlement website indicated on the legal notice or call the 800 number listed on the notice. You can also contact DSG directly, and we can determine your eligibility for the particular matter.
